Alessandro Gualtieri, often referred to as "The Nose," is an Italian perfumer celebrated for his avant-garde and provocative approach to fragrance creation.Born in Italy, Gualtieri's early olfactory experiences were shaped by the raw scents of his grandfather's butcher shop, instilling in him a fascination with visceral aromas.He pursued formal studies in perfumery in Germany and further honed his craft under the mentorship of an Italian expatriate.
Among his notable creations is "Black Afgano," a fragrance that has achieved cult status for its deep, smoky character.Other significant works include "Duro," "Narcotic V.," and "Blamage."In 2014, Gualtieri introduced a new line, Orto Parisi, inspired by his grandfather's garden and exploring the concept that the body is a garden, with scents reflecting the soul.
