Alex Lee's journey into the world of perfumery is as captivating as the fragrances he creates. Born and raised in sunny California to Taiwanese and Singaporean parents, Alex's multicultural background instilled in him a rich tapestry of sensory experiences. From a young age, he was enchanted by scents, often chasing after the lingering aromas of freshly shampooed hair on the playground. This early fascination blossomed into a passion for collecting perfume bottles, each representing a unique olfactory story.
Initially pursuing a career in medicine, Alex realized that his true calling lay in the evocative power of fragrances. He saw perfumery as a form of emotional medicine, capable of evoking memories and feelings. This revelation led him to Grasse, France—the heartland of perfumery—where he immersed himself in the study of natural raw materials at the Grasse Institute of Perfumery. His dedication and talent earned him a place at ISIPCA in Versailles, further honing his craft.
